UNITED STATES ARMED SERVICES

As CEO and Executive Director, for four years, of a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving families of the fallen who died in active service on or after September 11, 2001, Marie had the privilege of developing relationships with and speaking before the U.S. armed services, both inside and outside the Pentagon, around the United States, and the companies and organizations that honor and support them.

In February 2008, she accepted the invitation of the United States Air Force Academy for its annual National Character and Leadership Symposium to keynote the entire cadet class of 4,000 student, general officers, media and guests, and lead three additional breakout groups, on the theme of "Impassioned Citizenship: Can ONE Make a Difference?"

She has a close association with the 3rd United States Infantry Regiment at Arlington National Cemetery, also known as the Sentinels of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
